BOSTON, Mass. The Wheelock cross country team got out to a strong start in Saturdays short two mile dual meet with Emmanuel College. Senior Kate Needham (North Conway, NH) placed first for the Wildcats and ninth overall with a time of 15:30, while Junior Caitlin Burke (Westborough, MA) took second for Wheelock (16:10), and freshman Cara McAuliffe (Nashua, NH) finished at 16:38 in her first collegiate competition.

BOSTON - After a solid inaugural campaign in 2008, the Wheelock cross country team enters the 2009 season anchored by senior all conference runner Kate Needham (pictured above) and a strong supporting cast. With a core of veterans and promising newcomers, second year head coach Bryan Mahoney holds high expectations for the Wildcats.
Wheelock athletes volunteer at Boston Marathon
Boston, Mass. - Several Wheelock athletes spent their Patriot's Day helping out with the Boston Marathon. Members of the team spent much of their time handing out drinks the runners as they crossed the finish line.

Molly Rose Softball
Wheelock College softball player enjoyed an outstanding week from April 9-15. The freshman batted .667 (8-12), while owning a 1.000 slugging percentage and a .714 on-base percentage. She also knocked in four runs and scored twice.
